Bread Box Reviews and Buying Guide

One staple in my kitchen is the bread box; I actually have several, used in other rooms as well as the kitchen. I also keep other things in my kitchen bread boxes, like English muffins, cookies, chips and crackers, school supplies, etc. (No not all in the same box)

Some people like to refrigerate their bread items, I find cold bread distasteful and I don’t always feel like toasting it to make it more palatable. Refrigeration is not the best way to store bread any way, it tends to hasten staleness. So if you’re searching for a way to keep your bread and baked goods fresh try a bread box.

What to look for in a bread box
Besides choosing the material and color of your bread box, you will need to choose the type of closure the bread box will have. The roll top is a popular variety, but not necessarily the best. They are easy to load up and opening or closing them is simple, but you have a couple of other options. The drop down or fall front models are another common type of lid design along with the lift off top and drawer type of acrylic bread boxes.
